The city of Leticia has several hotels
(Anaconda, Decameron, Waira, Yuruparí, Hotel de la Selva, Los Delfines,
Residencias Fernando, among others.), restaurants that serve local food
(Tierras Amazónicas, Várzea, La Casa del Pan), motorbike rentals, Money
exchange, mobile communications, internet, bars and discos. The main
reason that motivates tourists to choose this city as their destiny is
the opportunity to be in the Amazonas jungle, to navigate the river and
get to know its natural richness.
Tanimboca Natural Reserve: it´s located 8 km
from Leticia; some of the activities that the reserve offers are:
climbing of giant trees (80 meters high) and Canopy between them
(travel by cable from one tree to another). From the tree top there
is a great view of the jungle, and you can see birds, lizards, even
monkeys. It is also possible for those how reserve it with time to
sleep and spend a night in one of those tree tops.
Besides that, in the reserve it is also
possible to kayak through the Tacana River.
